Join our Gokyo Lakes and Everest Base Camp Trek for a composite journey to the serene Gokyo Valley and its picturesque and turquoise Gokyo Lakes. Hike up to the most admired viewpoint of Gokyo Ri (5,357m/17,575ft) & get the fabulous 360 degree view of Himalayas from Kala Patthar (5,545m/18,192ft). Also, a visit to the iconic Everest Base Camp, crossing of the adventurous Cho La Pass (5,420m/17,782ft) and viewing the Ngozumpa Glacier are some other highlights of this trek. Lastly, you can even explore ancient monasteries, saintly prayer flags, holy mani stones, alpine floras and faunas, and Buddhist cultures.
We start Gokyo Lakes and Everest Base Camp Trek with a sightseeing day in Kathmandu. Next day after a flight to Lukla the real trek starts. We follow the main Everest trail through Dudh Koshi Valley until Namche Bazaar (3,440m/11,290ft). After spending two nights for acclimatization purpose in Namche Bazaar, we march ahead through Gokyo Valley trail to Gokyo. We walk beside the moraines of Ngozumpa Glacier and turquoise lakes to reach Gokyo & spend an acclimatization day in Gokyo exploring the Gokyo Ri and enjoying panoramic views of Mt. Everest, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Makalu and Mt. Cho Oyu and many other mountain ranges. We explore the tranquil fourth and fifth Gokyo Lakes too. The adventurous phase begins with Cho La crossing. There are two more challenges, the Everest Base Camp and the Kala Patthar, but are reasonable worth the effort.

This trek is just the right thing for you, if you wish to to gain an incredibly aesthetic trekking experience worth your entire lifetime. It is a challenging trek, and if you are looking for a challenging trip with 6-7 hours up hill/down hill walk each day with a light backpack, you can do Gokyo Lakes and Everest Base Camp Trek but if you have the spirit of a real adventurer, then you might choose doing Everest Three Passes Trek. However, if you are of normal fitness Everest Base Camp Trek-16 days would be suitable for you.
